The Intercooler 360 is a snap on cooling attachment that easily connects to the Xbox 360 to significantly reduce the internal temperature of the console. The Intercooler 360 provides increased air-flow throughout the Xbox 360 which allows the internal circuitry to perform at a cooler temperatures and reduces wear and tear on the unit. No internal modification of the Xbox 360 is required. A pass through power connection utilises the existing Xbox 360 power supply negating the need for an extra AC adaptor. The unit also powers on and off automatically with the Xbox 360 and the intercooler's small size will fit in tight spaces with your console displayed in either horizontal or vertical position. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Customer Reviews Its dosen't work but there is a way to fix your xbox 360 yourself i did it Ok i bought this inter cooler and after 2 weeks three red lights. So i went online to see if i can fix it and alot of offers where you have to pay to download a online guide on how to fix your xbox 360 came up but i ignored them. Then I went on YOU TUBE and they show you a way where all you do is turn the xbox on wrap it with a bath towel two or three towels and leave it for 20 minutes then come back remove the towels and turn the xbox of for about 10 minutes to cool down then turn it back on and it should be working. I was so happy when this happened and decided to write this review. What it does is reset the chip in the xbox 360. So whenever the red lights of death come on i use that trick to fix it. WARNING ***VOID OF WARRANTY*** "The Nyko Intercooler has been reported to have caused a general hardware failure in a number of consoles, as well as scorching of the power AC input. Microsoft stated that the peripheral drains too much power from the console and can cause the faults to occur, and stated that consoles fitted with the peripheral will have their warranty null and void." Therefore if you experience the "Ring of Death" and try to get your console repared, Microsoft could very well refuse to repair your console if there is any evidence that the NYKO Intercooler has been used. This is simply an eye opener, it certainly made me re-think. I think the main key is simply, keeping your console well ventilated. NYKO INTERCOOLER XBOX 360 I purchased this item about 2 years ago, after reading of the RING OF DOOM!!! I must say, it has been a worthy investment. It fits snugly onto the back of my xbox 360 and performs to the maximum. However, occasionally, the unit makes a grinding noise and a minor adjustment stops this. It could be that the unit expands/contracts with the heat, but this is purely an assumption. The unit is well constructed and robust. Fact is, this unit will keep our xbox cool (I've had about 3 hang-ups in 2 years) and will prolong the life of your xbox. Recommended.
